It is important to realise that your life doesnt end when you are diagnosed
with MS. Its not all doom and gloom. Remember there are many other people in this world, much worse of then you.
It is important to try and keep a positive attitude, although this isnt always easy. I think
it is also important for people around you to keep positive around you. A negative attitude always spreads faster, than a
positive one.
Have a sense of humor. Laughter is a great medicine, and helps heal lots of things. Obviously
it wont cure MS, but laughing and humor will help you cope easier. Learn to laugh at yourself, especially when you are
having a 'muddled' day.
I have found that joining an online support group, OZMS - link is on the Links Page - has helped me
tremendously to keep more 'light-hearted' about life in general, and I have also found the encouragement Ive had from these
people is great. They also have MS, so understand what you are going through.
Im not saying life is easy with MS, far from it. Like everything else, it depends on your attitude
as to how well you will cope with 'Life with MS.'
