Topic: Daily Stuff
Well, the last couple of months have been very busy and rather stressful. We have moved house, still in the same area, but have moved in and are now sharing a house with my son, Robert. Trying to combine two households into one has been rather interesting.... The week that we moved, my Mum also died, so that was another major event to deal with, but we got through it all....just! We have also been doing alot of cleaning and gardening after we moved, as Rob hasnt done any over the last few months, and the realeastate agents were getting on his back. The recent hot weather (approx 40C) didnt help me either. Things seem to be calmer for me now. Dave has just started a job, and is in the training process, but gettting paid shifts now, so the money side of things isnt quite as stressful now. Hopefully 2006 will be kind to us, and it will be a happier and healthier year for all of us.

Topic: My MS Symptoms
I have had many 'ups' and 'downs' with my symptoms over the last few weeks. The hot weather is playing havic with me, Im much more fatigued, weakness has started to creep back into my left arm, and Im getting more headaches. Headaches are probably a side effect of the medication, but the heat seems to make the headaches worse. I've also been under a fair bit of stress - moving house, my Mum dying and the funeral, money worries etc, which overall wouldnt be helping me. MS symptoms seem to become worse, or more noticeable as stress levels go up. Hopefully, 2006 will be a better and calmer year for us!

Topic: Dietary Journal
I havent been sticking to the outlined diet recently, the main reason is I was finding it too expensive. With 3 adults in the house, all aith varying tastes etc, I was finding that I was the only one eating the diet foods, and that we were buying food for 3 separate menus for 3 separate people each week, which of course was a huge drain on the budget. I am trying to eat a healthier range of fresh food then I did before, and am watching what I eat, so overall I have made improvements to my eating habits.

Topic: My MS Symptoms
Symptoms have been rather good lately. I have just started on an MS drug - Betaferon - and have had one dose. This is a self injected drug. I had a nurse come to show and train me all how-to's etc. Ive had one dose and will have a routine of having the drug every Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights. The aim of the drug is to lessen the number and serverity of future MS episodes. The side affects can be rather nasty, but soome people dont get any side efects - so we will have to wait and see if I get any, and how bad.

A decision has been made to our future living arrangements. We will be moving in with Rob and Stacey mid Nov. It will be abit crowded futniture wise, 2 household melding into one, but it will be workable. The main reason for the move is that we cant afford to stay in this house beyond Nov. and we are having trouble saving the bond and rent in advance for another place of our own. This way, we all get a cheaper rent and hopefully be able to save for future moving. So now Im busy trying sort out what stuff can be kept and what has to be trashed, than boxing things ready for the move. We will be moving ourselves, of a period of a few days, so I want to have everthing ready to load and go.

Topic: Dietary Journal
I have been following the diet more closely over the past 2 weeks, and feeling better for it. Im still not strictly on the diet, as Im having trouble finding sutable recipes that are cheap and easy. I continue to search the internet and trying what I do find. I have cut out alot of the ;junk; food that I had been eating, and this has helped too. I feel that the new health product that Im taking is helping alot. Riovida is a Juice that contains Transfer Factor and many other 'goodies'. You only need to take a very small amount each day. I have been taking this each day for the last month, and have found a great improvement. Im finding that Im not getting so fatigued, and have a little more energy to do the everyday things that need to be done. Im finding that I can stay up a bit later at night, and function ok. The other thing that I have noticed is that I seem to be a bit more 'clear headed' overall. The fogginess and forgetfullness doesnt seem so bad now.

My symptons have been good over the last few days. Im not sure if its because of my diet, or the new health product Im trying, maybe a combo of both. Ive been able to stay awake longer at night, and actually watch a whole movie, instead of falling asleep 10minutes into it. I just feel like I have much more energy and concentration than I did a few weeks ago. I also feel Im not so 'moody', and just feel alot better within myself. Hope it continues.........

Today has been a beautiful, sunny day, and Ive spent about 4 hours in the garden, doing pruning and weeding. Im really happy, as although Im feeling tired from the work, Im not totally exhausted like I used to be after doing this amount of work. Im feeling rather good. Im sure anyone reading this who has MS or any other chronic ailment will understand what Im meaning.

Ive been following my diet more closely over the last few days, and I must say, Im feeling alot more 'with it'. It hard to comeup with recipes that will suit everyone in the household. but we seem to be managing ok, for now. I will be doing alot more websurfing to find more ideas, and eventually hope to be able to put together a simple recipe book to help other people with MS.

Topic: My MS Symptoms
Havent had much change in symptoms lately, not sure if thats good or bad. I spose its good that my synptoms arent getting any worse but bad that they dont seem to be improving at all either. My left arm is still feeling a bit weak, and Ive noticed that over the last 2 weeks, it seems to get 'tired' easily, also finding it difficult to do some things with my left hand. Im still getting fatigued easily, and by lunchtime, its a struggle not to go and have a sleep - most days. I find that I have to do most of my chores and errands during the morning, otherwise I push myself too much to get them done during the afternoon. Its been very cold weather here, and this has made all the aches and pains worse, but a co9uple of pain-killers seems to help alot.
